Those who have been following long enough, or at least researched a little more in depth about Emily Bear know that she was taught music early on by her grandmother, Merle Langs.
Merle is a well known (in town, only. If she was so renowned as they claim, I would have heard of her through my music circle which is compromised of the elite of the elite in the USA.) piano tutor in Rockford Illinois. She claims to have been a piano performance major at the University of Michigan.
Anywhere you search and come across this woman, even her facebook account, she is by the name of Merle Langs. I went a step further to find the truth they dont want you to know about.
I found through a google search a mortuary’s website mentioning Merle and the “little prodigy” Emily Bear and Emily’s mother, Andrea, in an obituary. To my surprise, her real name is not Merle Langs, but Merle Langs Greenberg.
Let me note. All of the information that I am going to post is in the public domain, so I am perfectly entitled to include this information in my article for research purposes.
Searching up her real name, I found an online newspaper article with some interesting information about Merle’s and Emily Bear’s ancestry.
Reicher was born in New Britain on July 28, 1907, the son of Russian immigrants living in a Jewish section of the north end of town. His father, who had left his native country to avoid military service, first tried his luck as a horse-and-wagon fruit peddler...
Continuing my search, I found that apparently Merle had weight problems. The Ebook is available online for everyone to read through google.
From an immigrant fruit peddler grandfather that to avoid military service fled his country like a coward, and a father that became a judge thanks to luck, to publicly disclosed weight problems, that’s (just some of) what hides behind the last name of Merle that they dont want you to know.
